Dr. R. Soucier was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. After serving in several mission trips in her high school years, she knew she wanted to be a medical doctor. She completed a Bachelors of Medical Science Honours Degree with Distinction at Western University in Canada. She was then awarded a Global Medicine Scholarship to pursue a unique opportunity of studying medicine in England, Grenada, and the United States and completed her medical degree at St. George’s University. Here she was nominated the White Coat Award for her exemplary character and professional commitment.
She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Florida State University with a lifestyle medicine and sports medicine track. Due to the COVID pandemic during her last year of residency, she witnessed the medical need right where she was. After residency, she and her husband decided to stay in Florida where she served as a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician at Space Coast Health Centers and also as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University and Burrell College mentoring future physicians.
Dr. Soucier has a passion to treat patients through practical evidence-based care and to improve all aspects of a person’s health- not only the physical, but also the psychosocial, emotional, behavioral, and spiritual needs. She is committed to treating the root causes of disease instead of solely providing a “need” based care. Additionally, she has obtained a nutrition certificate program through Cornell University and a Functional Medicine certificate program through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
She is excited to join Mission Family Medicine and continue to be a part of serving the Titusville community.
We look forward to getting to know you and working alongside you in order to accomplish your healthcare goals.
